Taos Swim Club is a competitive swim program, from entry level, learn-to-swim kids to elite athletes. Our focus is to engender a lifetime love of swimming through fun and friendship, hard work and commitment.

Taos Swim Club strives to instill in young swimmers an understanding of and appreciation for such concepts as high self-esteem, personal accountability, self-discipline, goal setting, and goal achievement as these ideas relate to their success in training and in competition. It is our belief that the process of achieving is as significant as realizing the achievement itself.

At each level of the Taos Swim Club program, swimmers are instructed to strive for excellence. This philosophy is consistent throughout the program, and every Tiger Shark, novice to Olympian, is encouraged to “Be the Best You Can Be”.

About the Coach..

Coach Taylor Jaramillo will be returning to the Taos Swim

Club with so much excitement and enthusiasm.  She

has grown up in Taos and has been a part of the

Taos Swim Team for as long as it has existed, first

with Anna Foster as the coach.  She then helped to

found what is now the Taos Swim Club when she

approached Bob Clotworthy and asked him to coach.

She had quite a bit of success in Taos  in the shorter

freestyle events, butterfly and backstroke. 

She then went on to accomplish greater success at the

NCAA level at Colorado College, where she achieved

much success as well.  She has been teaching/coaching in Taos and Colorado in some capacity for the last 12 years;  both private lessons for beginning swimmers as well as coached large age group teams (200+ swimmers), high school swimming, master’s swimming, as well as world class tri-athletes.
